Enjoy the Arts and The Thank You Foundation Announce Partnership to Honor Military Personnel & Families while Promoting Tristate Arts

Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) September 4, 2007 -- John Guinn, President and Founder of The Thank You Foundation, today announced a new partnership between The Thank You Foundation (TTYF) www.thethankyoufoundation.org and Enjoy the Arts (ETA) www.etastart.com. The two non-profit organizations serve Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area communities. The Thank You Foundation honors military personnel and their families and Enjoy the Arts promotes various arts organizations throughout the tristate.

"This is a wonderful partnership and way for local arts organizations to build their audiences," says Guinn. "At the same time local veterans and their families get to sample some local arts and entertainment venues and programming they might not otherwise experience. I love it -- everybody wins."

"ETA has already donated four memberships to the Thank You Foundation to be given at their discretion to either military personnel or their families," said Myrita Craig, Outreach Manager of ETA. "To expand upon this donation, we are partnering with TTYF to launch a program that encourages people to purchase Enjoy the Arts gift memberships at a discount either for veterans, military personnel returning from active duty, or for the families of active duty personnel as 'thank-yous' for their service."

"This program would have a similar function to the Tickets for Troops program, but would provide a full year's worth of arts and entertainment events with our ETA memberships. Experiencing and enjoying the arts can be therapeutic to those who are suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after active duty. Additionally, the memberships are useful for families of active duty personnel whose financial situations may not allow them to otherwise attend such events," says Craig.

Memberships can be purchased for $5 off when designated as gifts for military service personnel or their families. Full-time student memberships (retail $25) can be given to children of veterans or active duty personnel, and non-student memberships (retail $40) can be given to veterans, those returning from active duty, or their spouses. Anyone interested in purchasing discounted ETA memberships as gifts for service personnel or their families, should contact Enjoy the Arts by calling 513-621-4700 to receive the discount. ETA will notify The Thank You Foundation of your gift and TTYF will distribute the membership appropriately.

The recently launched Thank You Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to express gratitude and show appreciation for all members of our United States Armed Forces, past and present. The foundation was started with the belief that the words "Thank You," could transcend political, religious, and ideological differences, to let those who have served or are serving know that they are appreciated.

Enjoy the Arts is an arts non-profit program connecting local audiences to the arts. ETA provides memberships offering free tickets and discounts to over 30 arts organizations in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
