I have been treated very poorly by the financial aid customer service staff. It’s hard to get thru her. After the hard times that this person gave me, I just ask to see a financial aid staff/specialist. She tries to give me a hard time but I simply remain calm and say please several times. After I pass her “test” or whatever is called…then it’s fine. I heard from other fellow students that that lady is always in a bad mood. I really don’t know what her issue is. Though, she shouldn’t treat students bad for the simple issue of the need in financial assistance in order to pursue a career.

I have been very lucky compared to the last two answers. I go to a community college and have had the absolute best customer service from financial aid. It has even been better service than WalMart. My financial aid office has caring people who take the time to get to know you as a person and your financial situation and they work as hard as possible (even with overtime) to make the most benefits for you. They encourage students to apply for all that they may be able to get and to stay in school and to impower them. The financial office has been awesome and I can’t think of one negative about them ever since I started.

Oh it *****!! I deal with ppl who are obviously NOT happy with there jobs, and they will tell you anything to get you out of there face so they can go back to gossiping and eating….
God forbid you should follow up with a phone call and say thank you for the assistance, and ask when one should come back in, they treat it like it’s out of there job description…
At COD, some of the financial aid “customer service reps” are rude, short tempered, and do not work on behalf of helping a student get all possible aid to them.. I HAVE HAD to do everything myself. I am NOT complaining, I can now help someone else who may have a question.
It just bothers me how ppl can be so rude when they are put into a position to help others Shame on them!
