MCSD or MCAD? Which is better?

I work at a large financial consulting firm, and many of my peers are licensed attorneys, CPAs, EAs (an IRS thing), etc. But my particular job involves Microsoft solution development. There’s a large internal push going on to make sure that all client serving personnel are certified, but there is some flexibility in selecting a certification.

Which of these two options do you think has a longer lifetime? Are there additional options I should be considering?
Java wouldn’t be useful here. There’s a CPA here who for some odd reason obtained that, and he concurred. Though I am sure you enjoy having that wherever you work.
